Shine On Yoga

Cynthia has a passion for birth and spends a lot of her time thinking about how she can help a woman have a more positive birth experience.  She believes in the innate birthing wisdom of women's bodies but understands that sometimes babies need help getting in an optimal position for birth.  There is an optimal position for a baby to be in when birth begins and a pregnant woman can help assure that position.  In Dancing For Birth TM classes you will learn postures and movements that help your baby into that position.  Dancing For Birth TM prenatal/postpartum dance classes incorporate dance moves from around the world that best help you prepare to give birth.

Whether you plan a hospital or home birth, with epidural or no regional anesthesia, your muscles, joints, and tissues will be challenged by the changes that occur in the childbearing year.  Growing in self awareness, remaining flexible and learning to use your body actively in labor can help you experience low levels of discomfort, few or no interventions, shorter labors, and higher levels of satisfaction during your birth.

Cynthia has been a Certified Birth Doula through DONA since 2002.  She is a Certified Lactation Counselor, and a Certified Instructor for Dancing For Birth TM .  She is also the happy mother of three beautiful homebirthed, homeschooled children and loving wife of Joe!
